Abortion

Considering abortion?

The decision to have an abortion is a big one. It can often feel complicated, and your head and heart might be giving you conflicting messages. Information is empowering, but it’s also good to explore how you’re feeling about the decision.

An abortion can impact your life, your body, and your physical and mental health. Once it is done, it can’t be undone. You will never regret taking the time to gather information and talk things through with someone.

There are two different types of abortions available in Canada: A medical abortion (the abortion pill) and a surgical abortion. If you are considering either one, talking it through with someone can be a helpful step.

As with any medical intervention, it’s important to understand the procedures and risks in order to make a fully informed decision. If you have confirmed your pregnancy, a support worker will provide information about abortion methods, side effects, and potential physical and emotional risks. If you need a pregnancy test, we can provide one for you. We can also provide a recreational ultrasound to confirm viability.
