Adjusting to new life after the birth of a baby can be a tough transition. Beyond the Bump is a postpartum program that supports women through cooking, cleaning, and community. We’ve all heard that it takes a village to raise a child, and we want to make sure that every mom has a village.

Who we are and who we serve

Like most community-based programs, Beyond the Bump was born from gaps that we saw within our community and social support systems. We view the 4th trimester as a sacred time between a mother and her newborn. We want to ensure that every mom is well supported, nurtured, and cared for during this time so that she can thrive in her new role as a mother.

Studies show that moms who have a solid, social support network are more likely to develop a deeper bond and attachment with their baby, gain confidence in their ability to care for their baby, recover more quickly from childbirth, have lower rates of postpartum depression, and have higher success rates of breastfeeding.

We strive to provide support to any new mom that is facing loneliness or struggles in the early days of motherhood. There are many reasons a woman may feel alone – emotional/geographical/social isolation, financial barriers, mental health and wellness issues including anxiety, depression, and addictions. Our program aims to meet the needs of new moms through cooking, cleaning, and community.

How we help

COOKING

Four entrees delivered to your home within the first month after having baby.

CLEANING

We provide you with 1 – 3 hour professional cleaning.

COMMUNITY

You will be matched with a mentor who will provide you with ongoing support.

CONSULTATION

One in-home visit with a Lactation Consultant if you are breastfeeding.

Please note that not all applicants will be approved. Eligibility will be determined once your application has been reviewed.
